The wait is finally over. The 2016 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft begins tonight.

In my previous two mock drafts, I had the Phillies taking a left handed pitcher with the number one overall pick. But there have been many rumors the past couple of days about the Phillies’ interest in taking a bat with the top pick instead. Because of this, I have different top selections across my three mock drafts.

There have also been reports of top draft prospect Jason Groome sliding in the first round for reasons that are not publicly known.

While there is still no clear cut number one guy, here is how I envision the first round to play out tonight. The draft will be aired live on MLB Network at 7 p.m. EST.
